Located in Leon Valley, Texas, an enclave of San Antonio, Texas, Beyond Leak Detection (BLD) specializes in non-destructive, electrical leak detection on geomembrane liners for geosynthetic systems. Since 2010, we have tested the integrity of many types of geomembrane liners such as the following: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSPE), Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), Reinforced Polyethylene (RPE), Hypalon, High-Strength XR-5®, Coextruded Conductive-backed, and MicroDrain®. We wanted to provide a strategic approach in performing leak detection services along with the expertise in designing, engineering and manufacturing state-of-the-art leak detection equipment and products. Our knowledge, experience, and professionalism tailored us into expanding our leak detection services internationally. All of our services comply with the guidelines and technical standards in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), specifically ASTM D6747-15 “Selection of Techniques for Electrical Leak Location of Leaks in Geomembranes.”

Safety Is Paramount

Being safe while providing a leak detection service is second to none. Safety cannot be neglected or abused in any work environment, and we are committed to the safety and well being of our technicians and Clients. Providing the proper training is essential in preventing occupational injuries and near-misses. With safety being one of our cardinal rules, our technicians have completed the following requirements:

  • 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency
      Response (HAZWOPER) Training

  • 8-hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher Seminar

  • 24-hour New Miner Training
      (compliant to MSHA Part 46)

  • 8-hour Annual Surface Mine Training
      (compliant to MSHA Part 46)

  • 10-hour Occupational Safety & Health Training Course

  • 30-hour Occupational Safety & Health Training Course

  • Permit Required Confined Space Safety Training

  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Training
